Your landlord must return your security deposit within 15 days after your tenancy ends, or provide a written claim with receipts.

In BC, rent can only increase once per year by the amount set by the Residential Tenancy Branch.

For a month-to-month tenancy, you must give at least one full month's notice in writing.

Your landlord must give you at least 24 hours written notice before entering, except in emergencies.

Document the issue in writing, give your landlord reasonable time to fix it, then contact the RTB.
